Today, you needed to submit your cheat sheet and dictionaries/thesaurus if you wanted to use your own (and Fit to Print).
I also had you complete you final class assessment. If you were not here, you will need to do this ASAP (it does impact your mark).
You exam is tomorrow afternoon (with the exception of the three students who have to write in the morning as they have a math departmental in the afternoon).
Be here by 12:45 and expect to write until 4 pm.

Wed., Thurs. and Fri. Jan. 18, 19 & 20, 2017: Test Prep.
Today, you were shown a key for "Ralph Lung Kee Lee..." reading questions from yesterday.
I then gave you the prototype for the poetry reading to practice with and become familiar with. If you have time, it should be invested into studying/using the materials and aids already presented, and to creating your multi-source essay cheat sheet.
On Thurs. I wanted the poetry answers in so I can peruse them. Again, you are working on the exercises and readings you already have.

Tues. Jan. 17, 2017: Fit to Print Expectations
Today, I presented you with the following:
It is important that you prepare all texts that you want me to consider allowing in the test room. This means removing ALL additional words/symbols from the text itself.
In Fit to Print, you CAN have stickies; however, they CANNOT be labelled (this means using the index or picking and posting the pages most important to you).
I handed out a prototype example excerpt/test reading and multiple choice questions so you can practice and get a feel for the test (this is to be submitted, but will not be used for marks).
Tomorrow, I will provide you with a practice Poetry reading and multiple choice prototype of the exam.

Thurs. Fri. and Mon. Jan. 12, 13 and 16, 2017: Test Prep
You have been provided with the overview of the final exam and the opportunity to study. On Friday, I gave you a number of learning activities to help you on the "Draft" question (and also on writing), which you will get time to work on, in class, on Monday. to help you, you will need your Fit to Print. Keep in mind that you can bring this in the exam and CAN use sticky notes, but no actual written additions can be added (even on the sticky notes!), so clean them up.

Fri. Jan. 6, 2017: Independent Novel Study Deadline
Today, was the deadline to get your independent novel study in. Keep in mind that this assignment was given to you in September. You have had more than four months to read the novel, do the rough copy, and revise. Even at a month per task, you should have had an extra month after to be sure it was in. We will start with test prep. next week.
